This chart graphically displays the number of International Registration (Madrid Protocol) basis applications filed in Canada per week in 2023. The apparent drop in filings toward the end of 2023 is illusory since it can take months for such applications to reach CIPO. Such applications are retroactively allocated Canadian filing dates corresponding to their International Registration dates.
